JFK Anniversery

It seems as though, our country is missing a JFK in congress as there has always been a Kennedy in the Congress. The article I found on "Boston.Com" speaks of his motivational speach back in 1962 which gave Americans a feeling of Patriotism and idealism. In this speech he gave, he gave birth to the phrase, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country?" I think that this phrase helped a lot of Americans see that workin together as a Country would benefit everyone in this Country. In reading about President Kennedy, who was far before my time, it seems to me as though he was a special kind of person as well as President of the United States. He really believed in our Country.
In reading an article from abcnews.com/politics, it discusses what a wonderful man that he was, how he remembered the names of everyone he met, he was a personable man. He not only cared about this Country, he cared for the people that made up this Country. It's sad to see that public service is not held in the same light that it once was. When Kennedy was President, he encouraged the people of our Country to join public services, such as the peace corp. They say he was a public servant his whole life, by choice. Which I think is a wonderful thing, to see someone with money and power donate their time and life to the public, just because they truly want to make a difference in the world.
Coming from a background that never concentrated or paid any mind to the politics of our Country, reading the articles about what a wonderful man he was, I wonder why our Country has not tried to find a similar Preisdent to fill his shoes? Is there not another person who honestly believes in our Country and all that it stands for?

I couldn't agree more; there are too many people who sit back and complain about the world when it's also their responsibility to do something to make a difference. It's inspiring to see someone of high status, wealth, and power help make the world a better place for us all.
